As mentioned in our previous post:
Please, try to remember that this is a club about Russia. We do and will accept items that are Slavic in any nature (Polish, Ukranian, etc.), but they MUST be directly and apparently related to the topic. This is not a club for "all kinds of art" made by Russian artists. There are clubs out there, such as Rus-home (
rus-home.deviantart.com/), that cater to Russians and anyone who speaks Russian, and they will accept anything as long as it is created by a Russian/Russian speaker. However, our club is not like this.
We only accept works clearly related to Russian/Slavic culture, regardless of the creators' ethnicity or their ability to speak Russian. We will only be accepting submissions that are clearly related to Russia or are Slavic in nature. This means that even if you're Russian/speak Russian, your fursona references, anime fanart, photos of unrelated objects and places, screencaps, original characters, etc. will be rejected unless they are clearly related to Slavic or Russian (and that includes ethnic minorities such as Koryak, Chukchi, etc. in addition to Slavic Russian) culture. Works featuring places, people, and nature in Slavic countries will be accepted IF you specify its relation to Slavic culture/history. Examples of what is allowed:-Works featuring Russian history, culture, historical figures. Russian ethnic minorities and their cultures are also allowed here (eg. Udege, Buryat, Tuvan, Yakut, etc.).
-Fanart of Russian/Slavic/Russian minority fictional characters (such as Dostoyevsky characters, APH canon and fan characters, movie characters, OCs, etc.)
-Russian/Slavic/Russian minority cultures-themed poetry/writing.
-Pictures of places in Russia or Slavic Europe.
What's not allowed:-Photos featuring Russian people or taken by Russian people that have nothing to do with Slavic/Russian culture (eg. Russian girl wearing modern clothing standing in front of a mirror)
-Fanart of various fandoms that have nothing to do with Russian culture, whether or not the creator of the fanart is Russian (eg. Naruto OC made by a Russian artist will not be accepted unless the character has something to do with Slavic/Russian culture)
So if your art doesn't make it into the club, this does not reflect on its quality, merely its relevance. If you feel we have wrongly rejected your work, feel free to message us and we will do our best to correct our wrongs.
Sometimes, we fail to see how a work is related to Russian/Slavic culture when it is indeed related, so feel free to tell us in the description or in a comment. Some of our older pictures were submitted before these rules were implemented, so they do not fit these rules.I apologize for some of the confusion our submitting policy has created. I will answer any questions you may have.
